The University of Melbourne
Dr Andrew Woolnough is the Associate Director, Enterprise Partnerships at the University of Melbourne. His primary role is to develop significant and mutually beneficial partnerships between leading global companies and the University.

A natural collaborator and systems thinker, Andrew recognises opportunities for all stakeholders – industry, university, and government. He is not afraid to ‘think outside the box’.
This trait was recognised by a United Nations Public Service Award in 2019 for leading a team which challenged the status quo in community engagement. More formally, Andrew gained a BSc from Flinders University, a BAppSc (Hons) with First Class Honours at the University of Adelaide, a PhD from James Cook University, and an Executive Master of Public Administration from the Australian and New Zealand School of Government (ANZOG) and the University of Melbourne.
He has held Adjunct Associate Professorships at the University of Adelaide and Murdoch University.
Andrew began working as a professional scientist with a Prestigious Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Pretoria before joining the Western Australian Department of Agriculture in 2001 as a research scientist. He eventually led a key research group for the WA Department of Agriculture before taking on policy and innovation roles with the Victorian Government in 2011 until joining the University in 2021.
