American Australian Ass - New Fellowships
The Association is very excited to announce the addition of new Australia-to-US Fellowships:
- Amgen Fellowship
- Chevron Fellowship
- Morgan Stanley Pediatrics Fellowship
These new corporate sponsor Fellowships were announced at the Association's 2009 Benefit Dinner by Amgen CEO Kevin Sharer, Chevron CEO Dave O'Reilly and Morgan Stanley Co-President James Gorman.
Each Fellowship awards up to US$25,000 to a top Australian postgraduate student pursuing advanced research in the US each year.

Amgen Fellowship
The Amgen Fellowship is offered in biology with a focus on biopharmaceutical research. Amgen is a leading human therapeutics company in the biotechnology industry. For nearly 30 years, the company has tapped the power of scientific discovery and innovation to advance the practice of medicine.
Chevron Fellowship
The Chevron Fellowship is available in geology, geophysics, or reservoir engineering. Chevron is one of the world’s leading integrated energy companies, with subsidiaries that conduct business worldwide. The company’s success is driven by the ingenuity and commitment of approx 62,000 employees who operate across the energy spectrum.
Morgan Stanley Pediatrics Fellowship
The Morgan Stanley Pediatrics Fellowship is for postdoctoral research in medicine with a focus on early childhood. Morgan Stanley is a leading global financial services firm providing a wide range of investment banking, securities, investment management and wealth management services. The Firm's employees serve clients worldwide including corporation, governments, institutions and individuals from more than 1,200 offices in 36 countries.
About the Education Fund
To date, over 95 Fellows have received awards totaling over US$2.5 million to pursue studies in critical fields - from key medical research to sustainability - at top institutions such as MIT, Harvard and Princeton.
